Rotary club of Kashthamandap has provided 320 body bags and 350 solar lights to support rescue and relief efforts for those affected by the Bhotekoshi-Rasua floods.
Club President Shailesh Baidya said the club extended immediate assistance after learning that flood damage to electricity infrastructure had left the affected areas in darkness, and that the significant loss of life had made the management of dead bodies difficult.
According to him, the body bags were produced for immediate needs by providing the design to the Nepal Army's multi-business industries. He also informed that the Rotary Club of Bhaktapur assisted in this work.
The Rotary Club has provided 350 solar lights and 320 body bags for use in the affected areas.
