Kathmandu: The Salt Trading Corporation Limited has provided relief assistance worth Rs 6 million to people affected by floods and landslides in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other areas.
The corporation contributed Rs 5 million under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, while an additional Rs 1 million was collected through salary deductions from its employees, bringing the total relief support to Rs 6 million.
In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Finance, Chief Executive Officer of Salt Trading Corporation Urmila Shrestha informed the ministry about the contribution.
The corporation also expressed its heartfelt condolences to the families of both Nepali and foreign nationals who lost their lives in the natural disaster.
Salt Trading said it has been continuing the supply of food items and other essential commodities to disaster-affected areas. It also expressed solidarity with the government’s ongoing rescue and relief efforts.
The corporation said it remains committed to supporting affected communities and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of essential goods during the crisis.
