First Flush Tea Plucking Begins in Ilam, Focus on High-Quality Production

Farmers have started plucking fresh green tea leaves in tea gardens located in Nepal Tar, Ward No. 1 of Ilam Municipality, marking the beginning of this year’s tea harvesting season in the district.

The first harvest, commonly known as “First Flush,” is considered crucial for producing high-quality tea. According to farmers, tea leaves picked during this period yield superior flavor and premium quality.

Tea gardens across Ilam are now bustling with activity, with farmers showing enthusiasm as the new tea season gets underway.
