Kathmandu – The Board of Directors of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decided to conduct share trading on Fridays from now on.
Following the government’s decision to declare Sunday a public holiday, NEPSE will remain closed on Sundays and open for trading on Fridays.
Previously, the stock market remained closed on Fridays, with trading conducted from Sunday to Thursday. Under the new arrangement, trading will now take place from Monday to Friday.
The decision comes after a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday approved a two-day weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for government offices and educational institutions, which has come into effect from Monday.
