NEPSE Index Falls Slightly on Final Trading Day of FY 2082, Turnover Exceeds Rs. 8.66 Billion

Kathmandu – The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined slightly on the final trading day of the fiscal year 2082. On Monday, the index dropped by 4.18 points to close at 2,833.60.

A total of 20.16 million shares of 342 companies were traded through 101,180 transactions, amounting to a turnover of Rs. 8.66 billion.

Among sectoral indices, banking fell by 0.47 percent, development banks by 0.55 percent, finance by 0.29 percent, life insurance by 0.46 percent, microfinance by 0.42 percent, trading by 0.21 percent, and others by 1.62 percent.

Meanwhile, hotel and tourism rose by 1.02 percent, hydropower by 0.66 percent, investment by 0.13 percent, manufacturing and processing by 0.40 percent, mutual funds by 0.36 percent, and non-life insurance by 0.46 percent.

According to NEPSE, the share prices of four companies hit the positive circuit limit during the day’s trading.
