Kathmandu- Education Network Pvt. Ltd. organized a one-day seminar in Kathmandu featuring representatives from Kunming Medical University, China. The event was aimed at providing information to students and parents about studying MBBS in China and also included an alumni meet with Nepali doctors who graduated from the university and are now working in Nepal.

Representatives from Kunming Medical University, located in Kunming, China, shared detailed information about the university, including admission requirements, student capacity, costs, and scholarship opportunities available for international students.

Managing Director of Education Network Pvt. Ltd., the official representative of Kunming Medical University in Nepal, H.B. Chhetri, said that although students from around the world go to China for medical studies, Nepali students receive limited quota seats. He also noted that from now on, students must not only pass Nepal’s national entrance examination but also clear the csca exam - china government exam. 

He added that Nepali students can study MBBS at Kunming Medical University at relatively lower cost with various facilities, and the institution is considered suitable in terms of climate and environment. He further stated that the company is ready to facilitate a smooth admission process, and the university has been collaborating with Bir Hospital in Nepal.

Education Network’s Deputy Director Sushma Shrestha said that among Chinese medical universities, Kunming has become a preferred choice for Nepali students due to its quality education and supportive policies. She added that university officials frequently visit Nepal to provide guidance and counseling to students.

During the program, six senior officials including the Vice President and Dean of the university addressed the participants and responded to queries from students.
